American Society for Composites Ph.D. Research Scholarship Program

The mission of the American Society for Composites (ASC) is to provide a communication forum for the engineering and scientific community in composite materials, and to provide the growth of knowledge from interdisciplinary engineering and scientific research in composite materials. In keeping with this mission, ASC is pleased to announce an annual graduate student research scholarship grant program for formally enrolled Ph.D. candidates in engineering or science whose dissertation research is focused on some aspect of composite materials. Typically multiple awards will be given each year, each consisting of a small grant made to the student's university and advisor for the benefit of the student. This grant is intended to partially support the student's research and also help the student attend the upcoming annual ASC Technical Conference to accept the award at the conference banquet. ASC will also grant to the student a waiver of the conference registration fee, free conference proceedings, and a banquet ticket. Applicants are invited to submit the form below, along with the supporting information, by the date indicated. Relatives and graduate student advisees of ASC Scholarship Committee members are not eligible to apply. Decisions will be announced, typically in  June. More information on ASC can be found at the society’s website: www.asc-composites.org.
